, I'm so sorry that you have shingles again. And the eye is a

very bad place to have it. I hope that the anti-virals work well and

that you have no lasting effects. If it were me, I think that I'd hold

off on the Enbrel until you talk to the rheumy.

I do hope you are feeling better by now!  I cannot imagine having Shingles

around the eye!  Good luck on starting the Enbrel.  I'm sure your Dr. will steer

you in the right direction on when to begin the treatment.  I had a serious case

of Shingles a few weeks ago, & will resume the Enbrel next week.  I had IV

anti-viral medication for 3 weeks, so he had me to stay off the MTX & Enbrel for

a while.  I am a little cautious on resuming it, but feel that the benefits

outweigh the possible side effects for me.

hi judy

thanks for the good wishes. i started valtrex last thurs day and today

is last day to take it. rash is fading but still hurts. thanks for the

asurance. makes me feel better. the good thing re enbrel i've been told

is it leaves system fastest of the biologics so we can get our imm

system in gear faster.
