Guest guest
Hi When I started MTX I started to loose some hair, it was not real bad hoever. It stopped after awhile and I had cut my hair short so there was no weight on the ends. I stopped the MTX for about 4 months and am back on it . I noticed I am losing some hair again but like before it was not in large amounts. Guest guest
i started out with a naturopathic doctor. she said it was food related. gave me a bunch of supplements. i tried to eat carefully and tried to figure out my trouble foods and got so frustrated that i quit eating for 6 days. my pain went completely away till i started eating again. after that i went to my regular doctor and he set me up with a rheumatologist. i liked her at first. but after about 6 months she was too snippy at me and didnt seem to care about anything i said. she knew it all. so i didnt go back and i started going to a different rheumatologist and he tested me for the food sensitivites and gave me a whole list of stuff to stay away from. it is hard but i keep telling myself not to look at what i cant eat but make a list of all i can eat. in the good old USA we have access to a great variety of foods but it is still hard. i am also taking a lot of supplements, especially for the immune system. my regular doctor is helping me to wean off the prednisone. Guest guest
Food for thought (pun intended) If you remove the dairy, wheat and night shade produce from your diet and the symptoms go away...but the RA is running in silent mode...have you stopped the progression of the disease or just stopped the body's way of getting your attention that the RA needs to be addressed? I have thought about this...I am trying the Raw Living Foods but I am not comfortable enough to give up the meds. I have noticed that sugar and dairy are immediate " flare foods " for me. Love to have someone else to discuss this with who actually understands. Thanks everyone!
