Parasympathetic dominant types should eat meat and fats, sympathetic dominants should eat a more alkalinizing diet of produce. Those people with a balanced metabolic rate do well on a mixed diet. I have posted lots of articles about metabolic typing, some of it from Dr. Mercola. I am parasympathetic dominant and a slow oxidizer. People like me also are suseptible to heavy metal toxicity and low thyroid and adrenal function. We were born with our metabolic type, one is not worse than the other. If we don't eat a diet that stimulates the opposite of what is dominant, we get out of balance. This is why there is no perfect diet that suits all humans. Look up Dr. for more information. He is an expert on the ANS. I hope he's as good as his reputation because I've been going by his nutritional advice. I've been doing very well. I've also been following Weston Price's studies that we should eat an ancestral diet.
