Guest guest
Hi Kathy: I am 68, and have had RA for over 5 years. My feet and ankles were hit the worst with RA. I know how awful it feels when we are unsteady on our feet. When my RA flares, I can hardly bare to stand on them, let alone walk. I now use my cane all the time, as I don't want to fall again. On days my RA is bad, I use my walker. It gives me great stability. I too, am scared of falling again. Have you tried using a cane or walker? It really makes a big difference. I had 2 knee surgeries on my right knee, then I finally had a total knee replacement. My knees are great now. No pain, etc. Wishing you pain free days, and I hope you feel better soon.
