Guest guest
Eleven years ago I began having severe foot pain. I saw a podiatrist who had an ultrasound done. There was a nodule in my foot. I had major foot surgery because this nodule had surrounded the second toe. Long story short, the surgical pathology came back that this nodule was rheumatoid. I never tested for the positive for the rheumatoid blood test. I was in agonizing pain again about a year ago. To make a long story short I was able to find a real rheumatologist at Loyola University in Chicago who did further blood work and confirmed the diagnosis. By this time, I could not walk. I now have custom shoe inserts and prescription new balance shoes. I am also still on prednisone after a year, and also taking MTX. I am still not able to walk barefoot, but the pain is not as bad and i am somewhat better! Goodluck!
