Guest guest
Good luck to all of you reaching to become an ex-smoker. I did it after 25 years of smoking so I know it's possible (although not necessarily easy, I won't lie)! --- In , " diane crawford " <nuttynurse25@...> wrote: > > GOOD LUCK EVERBODY.. Guest guest
I wish the best of luck to all who were participating in the Great American Smoke Out. I know quitting is not easy but it can be done, I am evidence of that. I started smoking when I was fifteen,I smoked heavily until 3 years ago when I was 43. It wasn't easy, I sucked on allot of commit lozenges, the cherry and cappuccino ones are really pretty good. Anyway I just wanted you all to know that I am in your corner on this. Guest guest
, I know it's possible. My wife was up to 3 packs a day, and 2 days before Christmas she developed a sudden case of pneumonia. I took her to the ER and she stayed for only a day. She nevr touched another cigarette. It took me another few months to stop, and it was pretty easy. Like the others are saying, I stopped so you can do it too! I pray it works for you. Guest guest
Thanks, Vicki. I must admit, it is getting harder for me. I have to recommit myself every 15 mins or so. Guest guest
Sue, I seem to be putting some kind of food in my mouth all of the time. If they are here I sure wish they would stop me! There is no way that I could go to the grocery right now. I would put so much in the cart that I couldn't pay the bill. Shoot, I'm almost out of peppermint sticks Shirley > > Shirley, are those angels I sent still there? You can do it! We're all > pulling for you! Guest guest
Hi , Shirley, and Clora: Hang in there, and we are all praying you will be successful getting off those cigaretts. It is not an easy battle, but, once you win it, you will feel so much better. Always in my thought and prayers. Thinking about all of you during this struggle to be free of nicotine. Hang in there. Guest guest
Sue and group; OMG haaaaaaaa. Stay in the tub for the duration of the addiction. Sure thing Sue lol. I appreciate any good ideas to kick the habit. I love to read funny post. and that is funny haaaaaaaaa. I am working on it. I count the days. I figure a week and I won't be hooked anymore. I quit for 3 years back in 95. It was great. Kick me in the butt for starting again. Yes I fixed my hair in the bathroom. Took as many baths as I could handle. Everyone wants to know why I am holding up the bathroom so much haaaaaaa. No one allowed to smoke in the bathroom becaue the non smokers took a stand and said the bathroom is off limits to smokers. My mommy hated the tobacco smell in the bathroom and made us all not smoke in there. So that is where I am hanging out this week haaaaaaa. Day 2 and only one cig. Oh what a fortune I will save now. Maybe after a year I can go to disney world. Thanks eveyrone for your support. Shirley and good luck and god bless everyone. gentle hugs Clora ************************************************************* > > Clora, you could just stay in the tub for a few days, LOL. Guest guest
and group; Haaaaaaaaa a prune huh. I may look like a prune but Yes I smell good now. Just a few days and my smokeing family smell awful like filthy ash trays. They think I have become a snobby non smoker lol. I told them how they are starting to smell to me. I can feel the new air already wow. Everyone has made the kitchen the new smoking room. IN the kitchen the window open smoke filled air. Yep I am a snobby non smoker. I go in the kitchen and tell them. " you guys should see yourselves standing around smoking. " My daughter put a rocking chair in the kitchen haaaaaa ( daughter is 35 years old). Yes we have a lot of smokers in my family. Maybe later others will follow my path of quitting. gentle hugs Clora ********************************************************* > Stay in the tub until you are a prune. > Good luck and God bless.... > > Raniolo > > > > From: CLORA <clora4jesus@...> > Subject: [ ] Re: OT GREAT AMERICAN SMOKE OUT...HERE THEY COME... > > Date: Saturday, November 22, 2008, 3:16 PM > > > > > > > > > Cathrine R. and group; > > We can do it Cathrine. Guest guest
The money part is reason enough to quit. Just think what you can do with all of that money that you'll save. You should just put it aside and save for something special like Disney World. I can afford to travel now that I'm not wasting money on cancer sticks. Good luck to you and and Shirley. You go, girls!
