Guest guest
Do you mean gone bald or gone completely off prednisone? I had to stop prednisone because it made me have massive mood swings from crazy mania to near suicidal depression (I have bipolar and it just set it off really bad) it was hard to stop taking it and I do deal with quite a bit of pain but for me it was definitely the right decision. I actually seem to be having thinning hair after the fact though. Does anyone know if Prednisone can make you continue to lose hair months after taking it, or does ARAVA (or another drug) cause hair loss too? Guest guest
Hi ..my rheumy lowered my arava dose because of stomach upset and hair loss. I was on 20 and went down to 10 but not taking it anymore. I have also on the hrt patch and I just read that it could cause hair loss. Altho' my dermatologist said no...I did read that on other sites. I go to _www.askapatient.com_ (http://www.askapatient.com) and type in the med I am taking and it will give all sides and what others have dealt with. I am sure that prednisone is pages and pages. its a great site. I've been on prednisone for many years and my hair is thinning more..but I am now thinking its from the hrt patch. Maybe everything causes hair loss. LOL Hugs..a In a message dated 11/6/2010 3:58:01 P.M. Eastern Daylight Time, sarah5775@... writes: Do you mean gone bald or gone completely off prednisone?
