Guest guest
Hello Randy...I have been taking enbrel since sept 2005 and I am in a medical induced remission. I'm sure if I came off the enbrel, the r/a and inflammation would rear its ugly head. The enbrel has been a Godsend to me. I felt good the very next day. I have been feeling good for quite some time...and I hate to jinx myself. so shhhhhh Is your rheumy talking about remission from r/a that is not medically induced or a remission from r/a that is caused by our medications? I don't have any swelling and the pain is very minimal. I take darvocet for any pain I have. its usually one at night. I don't have a specific time when I feel the pain..spring, summer, fall or winter. It just depends. some say its the barometric pressure. there are times when I felt worse in the spring than in the winter months. But I've been dealing with r/a since 1983 and have feet and hand deformities. back then, it was to treat pain only. Don't give up.....let the enbrel do its thing. Please don't dwell on the " what ifs'...if you're feeling a bit better, celebrate that. If you're depressed, look into anti depressants if you feel the need. there are so many wonderfully new treatments for r/a...if one doesn't help, another will. this is the best time if you're dxd with r/a. the treatments are wonderful with new ones everyday. Keep your head up. There are good things happening with the drugs that are being approved now. Hugs..a OH
