Food allergy testing was a bust for me too. I did delayed ELISA testing

twice and immediate food allergy testing (RAST) once. Practically

nothing showed up (just two things I rarely ate), which I since

eliminated altogether but it didn't make a difference. Yet when I do

the BBD I feel somewhat better (even though according to the two ELISA

tests I am fine with wheat, gluten, dairy, and soy).

I do know of one person who benefitted greatly from ELISA testing, but

for me it ended up being money that would have been better spent

elsewhere.

I would like to find the coconut ice cream that Crystal mentioned. The

rice ice cream at Whole Foods has soy in it, so I haven't been able to

find an ice cream substitue consistent with the BBD, except for frozen

bananas, which are good but I still would prefer another ice cream

substitute.

I make my own ice creams. You can use rice milk, seed milk, nut milk,

whatever sweetener you prefer.. I use stevia, and then add the flavors

you want.

Another great " ice cream " is froze fruit in the food processor. If you

use banana, you can add cocoa, or whatever.

I make ice creams pretty much every day in the summer because the kids

just love it. I have a few recipes that are so easy my 3 yr old can do

it with the help of one of my 6 yr olds. (with a big person watching,

of course)

I'd be happy to share recipes if you need them. But it's pretty basic..

freeze the fruit, toss it in the food processor and blend until done.

The

> rice ice cream at Whole Foods has soy in it,

I can't remember the brand name, but I have to go to that store today,

so I'll check it out again. There are a couple flavors of Rice Dream

that are o.k. but a lot have soy or carob, and the stores around here

don't really carry it anymore - they've switched to almost everything

soy. ugh
