Guest guest
Hi Amy, appears to be having an MS exacerbation. There is a discussion of exacerbations and how to cope with them near the bottom of http://tinyurl.com/advice-to-msers With best wishes, Dudley Delany http://profiles.yahoo.com/dudley_delany
Guest guest
Nothing to be alarmed about. That is the way MS moves in some people and the feeling will no doubt return. I had numbness in one hand from 1995 to 2008 and a CST (cranio-sacral therapy) practitioner managed to get the feeling back for me. In 1995 I had numbness in both legs and arms but it has gradually gone such that it is only in the soles of my feet now. And I used to rely on having no feeling in my hands so if I did sewing I wouldn't feel it if I stuck pins in myself! You can usually find something good out of something bad if you look hard enough! I'd suggest he gets on the Best Bet Diet and their suggested supplements. Potassum, calcium and magnesium helped me most with that numbness. They will no doubt prescribe steroids in the hospital of which I have no experience but I think others on here will say to steer clear of them. Janet From: angelamy77@... Over the weekend he was having numbness in his right leg. Yesterday morning he called me and said he was going to the ER and his friend was taking him. He couldn't move his right leg at all. It was numb and he had no sensation going down it at all. I don't know what's going on. He is still in the hospital. Any opinions etc?
