Behavior problems with Lyrica

I have not been diagnosed with RA and I thought I had an appt Friday, but it was

really on Wed so I missed it. I was very upset with myself. Now, my new appt

is in Jan. I was given Lyrica for pain in hands and I think I had a major

change in my thought pattern. I have been married for 40 yrs and was shopping

for a retirement home on a lake. Came home on Sun and went to the lawyer on

Mon. for a divorce and paid for it. Nothing happened on the trip, but I got

upset after we got home. My husband and family was upset with the suddeness and

had no idea of why I was getting a divorce. I did go to another doctor to get

off the Lyrica and will wait for it to get out of my system before I do anything

rash. My husband is devistated. Has anyone else taken Lyrica and had eratic

behavior? Not only was I getting a divorce, I was completely calm with the

whole thing. This is so out of character for me.

Hey Regina, sorry about several things you mentioned you are going through.

I've been on Lyrica for almost a year. B/c of some of it's side effects,

I've chosen to get off it. The worst side effect was weight gain & awful

swelling. I weaned off it & lost 11 pounds. I have a list of symptoms of

fibro. Have you googled Lyrica to get the side effects? I don't think I had

the side effects you have mentioned. Here's fibro's symptoms:

General Fibromyalgia Symptoms

* Delayed reactions to physical exertion or stressful events

* Other family members with fibromyalgia (genetic predisposition)

* Sweats

* Unexplained weight gain or loss

* Cravings for carbohydrate and chocolate

* Headaches & migraines

Muscle & Tissue-Related Fibromyalgia Symptoms

* Pain that ranges from mild to severe, and may move around the body (See
