Guest guest
Bear with me as this is a whine we've all heard but it helps to give it a voice. WILL MY KIDS NEVER LEARN TO WASH THEIR HANDS?! I was told the Arava will squash what was left of my immune system and to be more careful about staying healthy. I wash & clean more than I ever have! I'm a faithful user of Chlorox wipes on my keyboards & stuff but I am still picking up the bugs the kids bring home from school! I have been on Arava with Orencia just long enough to experience what it felt like to move and be able to work again. Crap! Beans! Nuts! I caught an ear & sinus infection from my 15 yr old. Sinus rinsing is gross but I still do it. Even 3 times a day didn't help this! I finally went to my GP & she put me on antibiotics for 14 days which meant I had to stop the Arava. Now I'm coughing & nose-blowing from all the drainage, my ears are so full of fluid that everyone has to repeat themselves because I can't hear them and I hurt all over again! Since getting this stupid infection I got my first nodules on my finger joints. Jeez those little buggers are painful. Like I needed anything else happening? Today was one for the crapper, too. I was asked to attend a local indoor auction to buy a couple of specific items- kept me there till 2pm- and this morning I had to take 12 hogs to a neighboring town for us & 2 other families to get ear-tagged for this years 4H projects. Feeling like a bag of soggy lettuce with lumpy hands driving 12 miles one way in a truck I'm not used to while pulling a livestock trailer with 12 pigs who aren't smart enough to stand still wasn't quite what I had in mind for today. I wanted to grow roots into my favorite couch seat and slowly search the internet for genealogy links. Tomorrow I will run the check-in table (protection point) for the little kids at Church so at least I will get to sit and catch up on my sunday-school class reading. Also I told everyone in the house that I expect help in getting lunch on the table and that I WILL OWN the satellite remote after lunch. I'm not doing Jack Diddly Squat for anyone on Sunday. Period. I expect no replies as this is a situation we've all dealt with. Well, maybe not the hogs, but having infections, having to stop a medication that helps, having manure-ish painful days, being expected to do things for the family that totally wastes our " precious spoons " . I am almost halfway done with my antibiotics and I know it'll all get back to my new normal. It just makes me feel a little better to put all this in words. It is kinda like letting a nasty burp out so you feel better.
