Guest guest
Hi Susie I was on Elavil before I ever heard of Neurontin. I am now on 75mg of Elavil and 2700mg of Neurontin. The combination of them was given to me at first for IC. The high dose of Elavil wass for the Fibro. I can say that they both work for me.I would love to get off them both as they are both bad for weight gain. I think its kinda individualized. I would wait till after the trip if its ok with your Dr because the Neuronton caused me to get real tired and I would have to rest when I first started it. It can also cause some short term memory loss but I don't think that is one of the more common side effects.I had the problem prior to the Neurontin but I do thin it has gotten worse. It might just be my aga.. but geeze I hate to admit that LOL Heidibug On Tue, May 12, 2009 at 10:04 AM, Susie Bartholow <susbartholow@...>wrote: > > > Good morning everyone. Guest guest
Hi Susie - I've never taken Elavil. I have taken Neurontin. It made me tired and gain weight, so I backed the dosage off from 2400mg/day to 600mg/day - sometimes I have to take more depending on how I feel. I wouldn't contradict your Rheumy one way or another, but perhaps you could call him/her and express your concerns to them. If you've had bad experiences with the Elavil in the past - tell him. If Prednisone makes your burning worse - tell him. Please remember we are paying them for their services - if there is a med that we've not had good luck with before, we need to tell them - I keep a list in my purse so I can quickly refer to it if they want to try me on something new. Have a good trip - hope you have a pain free time.....Doreen > > Good morning everyone. I have a quick question about Neurontin.
