Guest guest
Shirley, I'm still pulling for you! You can do it! You'll be so happy when you're free. When I quit, I had the feeling that a little dark cloud was no longer floating over my head. And I smell a lot better, too. Guest guest
, I googled smoking +aversion and got a lot of hits. Here is a sample from one of the sites: " Harmful side effects of smoking/chewing tobacco and nicotine addiction include: Mouth cancer, periodontal disease, cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, clogged blood vessels, heart attack, stroke, and death. Yellow, stained teeth, bad breath, smelly clothes, social stereotyping, a decrease in exercise and activity, increased likelihood of contracting common colds and flu, and periodontal disease. " And they didn't even mention lung cancer, that killed Jennings and more recently Newman. When I was quitting, this was a time when the tobacco companies were in trouble for the way they misled the public and used advertising to entice people into smoking, also added more nicotine to cigarettes, and the like. They knew all the time what damage it did to people, but money was more important to them. This helped me to stay quit. Just hang in there!
