Guest guest
I tried to read these posts, but they seemed to be intertwined with other posts... I'm still foggy from the rituxin but I wanted to throw this out there.... I finally quit smoking five years ago... and I haven't had a cigarette since... Yea! But it wasn't easy, and I tried to quit about a dozen times before that without success... The minute I was even stressing a little I instantly would pick up or bum a cigeratte from someone and off I was back into the swing of it... Its horribly addictive! and I'd be lying if I said that there weren't times when I still wanted to start again. Fortunately I don't like being a hypocrite, and I don't want to be smoking while telling my daughter how bad it is and not to start.... So far, its been a big enough deterant that I haven't returned to that bad habit. Try to remember that guilt could also cause you too smoke again, so if you " fall of the wagon " , enjoy that cigarette and decide to quit after that one is finished. If you last three months this time or three days..... At least you gave your lungs a break for a little while.... Some people tend to quit cold turkey... I failed everytime I tried it that way.... What worked for me was cutting out one more cigarette a week (sometimes after the second week) depending on how I was feeling. Eventually when i was down to one a day, I decided to go to 1/2 a day and then a 1/2 everyother day until I was completely cigarette free.. Find your niche, and if your determined, and the time is right for you, then you'll succeed... Best of luck Bonnie Just think about how good your hair will smell with out cigarettes!
