Guest guest
Hi , The search for a rheumatologist is difficult indeed. I am in the metro Detroit area and was very unhappy with my rheumatologist. When I asked for a second opinion, I was referred to the rheumatology clinic at the University of Michigan Health system. I see Peredo, who is a clinical instructor there in the division of Rheumatology in the Department of Internal Medicine. Unlike my local rheumy, this man listened to me and my concerns. I was locally diagnosed as seronegative, but still didn't fit the profile completely . After extensive testing in Ann Arbor, I was diagnosed as having virally induced rheumatoid arthritis-like symptoms. Good folks there. Listening is key. The general number for the clinic is 734.647.9000 if you have questions. Jane in Michigan In a message dated 11/3/2009 11:29:31 A.M. Guest guest
Hi , My rheumy is out of the Petoskey area but she also has an office in Gaylord which is where I go to see her. She is awesome and will listen to anything you need to tell her, explains anything you don't understand, and does NOT try to rush you out of her office. Her name is Dr. Irene Kazmers. I wouldn't trade her for anything! Shay, Michigan -- [ ] Shay in Michigan or anyone else who lives in this state I was wondering who you have as Rheumatologist's and do you like them? Also... Guest guest
Shay and Jane, Thank you for your response. Those locations are quite a ways away. But I will keep them in mind as well as some of the others if I can't find a decent one. I do have my eye on one that is about an hour and half a way. I'm going to check her out first. Thanks again for anyone who replied. Guest guest
You are very welcome . I know what you mean about the distance. I have a hour and a half drive one way when I go to see my rheumy and my body aches bad by the time I get back home. I hope you find a good one, Hun. *Big Gentle Hugs* Shay, Michigan -- [ ] Re: Shay in Michigan or anyone else who lives in this state Shay and Jane, Thank you for your response.
