Guest guest
Today must have been the worst day of my life. I have all my gifts except for 1. I have explained to my parents the money is just not there for their gift and for tires for my car and food and so forth. The money that I was supposed to use for their gifts went to my son's gifts. I try to make it equal between both of them when giving them presents for christmas and birthdays. My daughter I had gotten her 11 things and my son 7. So I had to make a last minute trip to walmart yesterday to get him 4 more things which I managed to do. When I explained to my mom the issue about the tires she went off at me screaming about how I don't have my priorities in order and neither does my boyfriend who lives with me. Well, between having almost $1600 in bills and more coming up at the begining of the month I just couldn't afford new tires or used ones. My front tires on the outside are bald and wearing away. My boyfriend today but them on the back since my car is a front wheel drive. Now the car rides better. But before doing that I get a call from my dad this morning and he is going to buy me 4 used tires for it since we have to goto PA christmas day. I live in MD a bit of a drive. Anyway where the issue is happening is I have to work tomorrow 8am to 3pm and again christmas eve 8am to 4pm. We have to be at my boyfriends aunts house by 6:30, we are going to be late. I have to go to my dad's after I get off work and take a half hour to have the tires changed over. Then I have to drive to my house pick up my boyfriend and then drive all the way to soloman's island which is about an hour and 45 min drive. When my boyfriend called his mom to let them know what was going on she got upset about it saying that they are always moving the times around because of me and my job. Well I can't help that I have to work christmas eve. I work with adults who have developmental disabilities and normally the residentals that they live with do not want to deal with the ones who have behavioral issues during the holidays so the day programs get stuck with them. Hench, I have no choice but to work. As for work, I had taken 2 weeks off in November that was supposed to be paid leave. Well, I still haven't gotten paid for it. On nov 1st I had been working for them for 6 months and the supervisor did not do my 6 month review before I left. well she did it when I came back and I still haven't seen the money which is desperately needed. I was short changed for the month of november which made me short of money. I make if I am lucky $1300 a month and that is working 40 hours a week. My boyfriend, is blind and thankfully gets SSDI and SSI so that helps a bit but some months its just not enough. I went to social services to try to get some help from them for me and the kids and I got a whole $26.00 a month in food stamps and medical assistance for the kids. Its like getting a slap in the face. My xhusband and his wife get $207.00 and its only those 2 and she makes $.25 more an hour then I do. does this really make sense to you. I can say I'm almost done all my holiday baking as well. I have the chocolate fudge done, the chocolate chip cookies done and the Oatmeal raisin cookies done. The only thing I have left to make is the Peanut butter fudge which is easy. I'm waiting for the chocolate fudge to come to room temp so I can get it out of the pans so I can get them washed tomorrow after work so I can do the peanut butter fudge. Thank you for reading my long rant, I hope everyone will have a pain free holiday. _______________________________________ No viruses found in this outgoing message Scanned by iolo AntiVirus 1.5.3.5 http://www.iolo.com
Guest guest
I have spent the last month watching Christmas movies. I have seen Scrooge played by everyone from to Luccie. I have seen The Grinch at least 4 times and all the Christmas cartoons from Snoopy to Frosty. All of this has helped keep my spirits up. My Grandchildren have also been with me. Christmas can be very stress full if you let it. STRESS CAUSES PAIN. Be good to yourself and DELEGATE. Your friends and family will be more then happy to help if you just ask. So MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT !!!!
