Hi :  I have no itching in m y feet, but I sure have numbness and

tingeling in them. This makes me a little off balance, and I am fearful of

falling again.  I hate the way my feet feel.  It is from my toes to the middle

of my arches.  Yes, I have Neuropathy from my RA.

I hope you can find the cause of the itchiness.  I am sure it drives you crazy.

Wishing you better days ahead.

Hugs,

Barbara

Hello Everyone,

Have any of you had numbness, tingling, and itching in your hands and feet,

especially at night? I am not sure if it is some of my meds, or a type of

neuropathy, but it keeps me from sleeping at night. My neck has also been

killing me, but they say it is osteoarthritis. It is funny though, it seems that

when my hands, wrists, feet, and ankles are having a flare up, my neck hurts at

the same time...thanks,

Hi ,

I do not have the itching, but I do have numbness, tingling as well as what I

call " painful pins & needles " feeling in my hands and a couple of toes. I have

an appt with my RA doc in a couple of weeks and I'm going to ask him again about

it. Usually I only have the numbness & tingling but here lately, I wake up and I

swear it feels like someone is taking large pins and pricking my fingers. It's

not the same feeling as when a body part " falls asleep: " and as it is waking up,

you get pins & needles - what I feel is sooo painful it makes me cry. I don't

understand it but I'm glad I'm not alone here! I've actually been cooking and

I';ve cut myself and never felt it. Only way I knew was there was blood dripping

on my cutting board!  Have you tried benadryl for a quick fix on the itching?

Hello,

About the numbness in the hands...I've decided to have a nerve conduction test

to see if I might have carpral wrist symdrome aggravting it. Sometimes I think

the RA gets the rap for other health conditions.

Are you on any medications that this coulf be a side effect? I had a very

similar experience while on Lyrica and Neurontin. I would mention this to your

doctor and look at your meds.

Hope it subsides soon so you can get some rest!

I was told a long time ago that my RA was the problem with the numbness,

tingling and that RA can mimic carpal tunnel syndrome. My hands on the

outside along with my pinkie finger and ring finger so numb that I do not have

any feeling barely in them on both hands. I sleep with my wrist and hand

splints which help a lot in mobilizing my wrist back so it will not cut off

circulation any longer. I see my RA Dr. on next week to see what is going on,

but fear it is the RA flare coming on another way as it usually with me

hits in a different way and place each flare for me.

Hi, Irish.

RA can cause peripheral neuropathy. RA is a risk factor for carpal

tunnel syndrome.
