Guest guest
hey group brother is back in hospital with infection and phenomia now they say he needs 3 pints of blood, his white count low. can anyone tell me why someone would have their white blood count drop so low for no apparant reason?? could some of the drugs they are giving him for infection be the cause?? he is right now incubated in icu so i have lost my control over how he gets cared for while there. i know a few yrs back i found a med he was being given that caused this problem thought doctors did not tell me this. we stopped that med and he was ok. he is on tubefeeding and we plan on taking a drastic approach to changing eteral feed to real food blended with vitamins. so if anyone has any ideas how we can start once i get him home on new vitamins and softfood blended that will give his body a fighting chance to recovery please let me know. we once again will be starting fresh so for anyone who thinks they are doing very well on a certan food diet high in protien thats easy to digest could you please tell me what vitamins and food you are taking?we will start him off also on 2.0 ldn, once off all the hospital meds he should only be on adavan as needed and keppra for seizures 2x day so you see hes not taking alot of drugs well now he is hes in ICU but once home he wont be. thanks nancy sister to brother with ms
Guest guest
Hi I am very sorry to hear that your brother is going through such difficult times. I hope he will recover soon and that better days are ahead. If he got pneumonia it means that he is severely deficient in vitamin C and vitamin D. And the way they will treat him in hospital will not improve these deficiencies for sure. Vitamin C particularly is a superb antibiotic and antivirus and also antitoxin (including lead) if taken in large and frequent enough doses. White blood cells cannot do much without vitamin C (ascorbic acid). White blood cells are like army and vit C is like a weapon...there is no defense without weapon no matter how big or good the army is. I urge you to read more about using the megadoses of vit C on www.doctoryourself.com and http://www.vitamincfoundation.org/ and i am sure there are other ones on the net, but these are excellent for beginning. I take lots of vitamin C usually in the form of pure ascorbic acid powder dissolved in water every day. I noticed it keeps me protected from infections and stress (it is esentiall in synthesis of adrenaline). Dr. Klenner suggests for MS people to take 10g every day to protect against infections. Everyone is different. I need about 6g. Also, there are some natural substances/foods that will increase white blood cells count. Among those are garlic (raw), turmeric, and i think beta-carotenes. I hope this was helpful, Sanja Subject: some questions about blood count To: mscured Date: Tuesday, March 2, 2010, 4:42 PM  hey group brother is back in hospital with infection and phenomia now they say he needs 3 pints of blood, his white count low. can anyone tell me why someone would have their white blood count drop so low for no apparant reason?? could some of the drugs they are giving him for infection be the cause?? he is right now incubated in icu so i have lost my control over how he gets cared for while there. i know a few yrs back i found a med he was being given that caused this problem thought doctors did not tell me this. we stopped that med and he was ok. he is on tubefeeding and we plan on taking a drastic approach to changing eteral feed to real food blended with vitamins. so if anyone has any ideas how we can start once i get him home on new vitamins and softfood blended that will give his body a fighting chance to recovery please let me know. we once again will be starting fresh so for anyone who thinks they are doing very well on a certan food diet high in protien thats easy to digest could you please tell me what vitamins and food you are taking?we will start him off also on 2.0 ldn, once off all the hospital meds he should only be on adavan as needed and keppra for seizures 2x day so you see hes not taking alot of drugs well now he is hes in ICU but once home he wont be. thanks nancy sister to brother with ms
Guest guest
Hi I also take large doses of Vitamin D and Vitamin C, have done for years. But I have had Pnuemonia so I do not think that theory holds water. If he got pneumonia it means that he is severely deficient in vitamin C and vitamin D. Guest guest
What the original poster was referring to is megadosing with Vitamin C. This means titrating to bowel tolerance (constantly increasing the dose until you get diarrhea, then backing down slightly from that amount) and it has to be taken every couple hours because it's metabolized so quickly. There's a big difference between that and taking a daily vitamin C supplement. You might already know that , but I just wanted to clarify for anyone else who read it now or will years from now in the archives.
