Guest guest
I hate when that happens!!!!!!! I just got out of the hospital two weeks ago and 1 week of in home IV antibiotics for cellulitis of my left breast.? The breast was bright red, hot and HUGE.? The joke while I was in the ER was " how long have you? this was the third time I have had cellulitis on the left side of my body.? The infectious disease has no clue, just treats them as they occur. I have finished the antibiotics at home and still feel awful.? My hemoglobin started dropping while in the hospital, so back on the IV iron.? I feel so weak and blah.?? During all this, my husband who worked for the County, had his position eliminated.? He is 66 years old but was not ready to retire for another 3 years.? So right now, he is looking for contract work and now we have to find Medicare supplement and himself, me and our daughter (she is autistic).? We will have to find a single policy for my youngest daughter (she's my care taker).? My husband is fighting depression at this time so I feel at times that I am tap dancing on my forehead.? My breast is still painful, but I don't think swollen.? When it rains it pours!!!!!! It is still summer (98 degrees during the day and 80's during the night) here in Florida.? I know y'all woke up to cold temperatures and some snow, that is one thing I don't miss from Chicago!. Stay warm and pain free my dear friends!!! Gentle, tender, angel hugs Debs in FL Hi Debs: I know exactly what you mean about all the dr. appts. we have to go to. My daughter said to me a few years ago, " Gee Mom, the only socialization you have is going to all those drs. " Boy was she right. I too cut back on these. I had to see a lung dr. for quite awhile, but everything turned out good, so I no longer have to see him. I also saw a E.N.T. dr. for a problem, but it is finally gone so I don't see him anymore. I was having so many tests at the hosp., I was so glad when I didn't have to go anymore. It seemed I had a dr. appt.or tests or blood work everyday. It wore thin, as you well know. I know you have been so very sick, seriously, and I hope you start to feel better soon. I hope you just postponed your dr. appt. to another day. Maybe when you feel better you will go. Unfortunately, we really need these drs. to try and stay healthy as best we can. It seemed like everywhere you turned it was bad news. I can't blame you for not wanting to hear anymore bad news. It is very depressing. But, you know deep inside we have to go and get checked out. I told you before it is your turn for good news. When we are down, we simply can't think straight. I am the same way. I think of you so much, and so pray for you to have better health. You need a break from all you have been through. I just want to tell you that I am doing better, and have a court date next month to see the Judge, and get some support money from my husband. He feels it is all his, and I am due nothing. I have no idea when we go to court for the divorce. Who would have thought a year ago, I would be dealing with all this pain and suffering. I am much better, stronger, in all ways. I finally stopped all that crying, which I am so grateful for. I didn't know when I could start to heal and feel better. It is still very painful, and a great sadness for me and my family and friends. I truly don't know if I will ever recover from this. He has broken my heart, and I have loved him since the day I met him. I will love him till the day I die. I tried so hard to save my marriage, but I could not do it alone. All I asked him to do was go to a marriage councelor and he refused. He wanted me to come home and continue our marriage as if he did nothing wrong. I could not do it. I am a survivor that's for sure. I am going home to Mass. Sept 1 for a few days to spend time with my daughter, son-in-law, and my beautiful little granddaughters. They are now 2 and 3. I can't wait to get them in my arms. It will be a happy trip home. Please take care of yourself. You are in my prayers, and thoughts. It is always nice to chat with you. Hugs, your friend, Barbara > > > > > > Patsy, > > > > So far at one week and still holding @ hgb of 8.4....Hope this can be > maintained.?
