Barbara and group;

I thought the shots would be awful in the heel.  It was worth it though to stop

the other pain.

Sorry I didn't make it.  I started back smoking. I am so embarrassed and sad you

all was so hopeful for me.

gentle hugs

Clora be kind to yourself.

Addictions are hard.

Next time may be the right time.

Perhaps you can set another timeline.

Be glad you gave your body a few days rest from nicotine.

I have quit many times. I am sad when I go back  but glad I saved my body from

cigarettes months and years at a time.

I am not confident this time and perhaps that will help me.

You are surrounded by smokers and that makes it so much more difficult.

Pray for the stregnth and know it is a gift you are giving yourself....when the

time is right...

Happy thanksgiving..

Clora, we are still hopeful for you! You can always start over from

scratch. You were doing so well, too. All of those other smokers around

you probably offered too much temptation. Why don't you make a new

rule: All smoking has to be done outside. My sister, who won't even try

to quit, does smoke outside so as not to give her husband all of that

secondhand smoke. Please don't give up. I know that you can do it. Now

you need to convince yourself.

Hi Clora:

Don't beat yourself up about going back to your cigaretts. Maybe you

can try it again soon. Sometimes we have to try several times before we

can give something up. I pray you will be successful soon.

Yes, those heel shots kill, but they were worth it to get rid of that

unbearable pain I was in. I hope I never get that again.

Things are really hard here. I am so stressed, that I threw my back out

today. I am trying to calm down, but it is so damn hard to do. I want

to have a nice Thanksgiving with my son and I. I am cooking the whole

dinner, and making an apple pie for dessert. I want to keep our holiday

traditions.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family, and enjoy the feast. We

will all need naps after that big dinner.

Wishing you pain free days, and you are always in my prayers. Take care

of yourself.

I've never smoked in my life, so I have no clue what your going through. But I

wouldn't be so hard on yourself. I think that you should be glad that you tried

at all. That's a really important first step. So, you fell off the wagon.

That doesn't mean that you have to stay off. Why not try just cutting back?

Something really small, like maybe 1/4 of a cigarette at a time. And very

slowly back down from that.

My father smoked 4 packs of cigarettes every day. He quit cold turkey because

my brother, my mother and I bet him each $4.00 that he couldn't give it up for

Lent. Well, he was a bear for about a week or two, but he did quit. That was

18 years ago. Just goes to show you how stubborn he is, LOL! He was not going

to lose that bet.

You'll get there Clora, especially if you want to. From what I've heard,

smoking can be very hard to quit. I wish you all the luck in the world.

Clora,

I have failed at many things that I have tried. Maybe if you could

just drastically cut back, it would help next time you try.

No one is disappointed with you. All ex-smokers know it is hard.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.

Lori and Group;

Wonderful story Lori.  Your father probably added years on to his life from that

bet and saved more money than losing. Your dad won cause he quit smoking,

really won in the long run.

This is what quitting is like.  Imagine you didn't need water and it was bad for

your health.  No more water you must quit. Imagine, now don't ever do this

haaaaaaa.  You would want a drink of water so bad. Just saying this is making me

go get some ice water lol.  That's how it feels except we are craving nicotine.

Thanks so much for the encouragement.  I will try again I promise.  God bless

and take care.

gentle hugs
