Guest guest
Ruth W., You said you took your 10 year old daughter for serial casting and it caused her a lot of pain. Have you considered night splints every night for a gradual stretching that would not be such a sudden drastic change all at once? I don't have the heel cord problem but wore splints to correct the bone curving. I wore them for many years as a child and now have straight feet as a result. I would think they would be less drastic than the casts. I have never had a dog of my own but I know we often give them less credit than they deserve. When I was in college, one night I was upset over something & decided to go for a walk. A large dog (whom I did not know) from the neighborhood decided to accompany me. On the way back we met a man walking towards us. The dog started a low throat growl & continued until the man had passed & was a safe distance away. I know the dog was telling both of us that he would protect me if necessary. That memory has stayed with me over 40 years. Alice
