I read something about it too, Dennis.

Speaking of WalMart, on Friday I had my three meds that are on their

$4 list refilled. They said 850mg metformin is no longer on the list

because the company increased the price. Why are prices going up while

the economy sucks? Even the price of plants this year is obscene,

they're so high. This is a time when prices need to go down, not up!

I had a big hassle with my Rheumy because of the insurance I chose. They had

extremely good coverage and low premiums, but they apparently micro-managed

the coverage and had to have approval before any procedure over a standard

office visit. I'm afraid there may be more bad news from them before the end

of the year. We're just stuck between the proverbial rock and hard place.

We'll have to deal with it as it comes.

Dennis and Stan, did you have RA (or symptoms of it) when you were in active

duty? If so, you would be eligible for service connected disability payments and

a higher priority for appts

Nope, didn't have any symptoms or anything I could relate to symptoms. I think

that was before RA was invented.

Stan,

Things just seem to be getting worse and worse. In Washington State they are

cutting programs left and right. I never know if I'm going to be covered or not.

One week last month the State announced they were not going to pay for any

medicaid prescribtions, I'm not on medicaid but I immediately thought of all the

people who were, and how many of them were put in " fatal " circumstances if they

don't have access to their medication. Then the State retracted it.

I read in today's paper that those of us on Social Security won't get any

pay raises (COLA) for at least the next 2 years. There's also the 'hint' of

being charged more for insurance to go with it. WalMart had better need a

lot of door greeters.

Same for me. I didn't have anything slowing me down when I was discharged. I

do know that RA was invented by then because my mother had it very bad and

was suffering a lot because of it. I do plan to try to register with the VA

this week especially the dental part. I need $1700 and Betty needs $2500

worth of work to get caught up.

Dennis,

I'm really sorry to hear this news, but not surprised. It's really a

shame they keep raising the price on insurance, soon were not going to

be able to afford to see the doctor.

Thanks for the warning, Tawny
