Guest guest
Beverly, I have studied a bit about the mental imbalances that can take place when the liver isn't working as it normally would. In my case, I also have a congenital condition that causes my liver not to produce enough L-Tyrosine. There are many places on the Internet that tell me with this condition, I could be mentally retarded, but I am not. One of the functions of L-Tyrosine is to be processed into serotonin. A lack of serotonin can cause depression. Other interferences with normal liver function can also cause the liver to not process amino acids and cause numerous mental and physical problems. I have been supplementing with L-Tyrosine for decades & find that whenever I run out or stop taking it for a little while, I notice more feelings and symptoms of depression. It's about time for me to cleanse & detoxify, too - I've just been thinking about that this weekend.
