Guest guest
Hi Ed, I just checked out that salt and found this info on their site: " Contains up to 84 minerals and trace elements, which may increase your energy level by supplying your cells with necessary nutrients. " These are the qualities Bee says to look for in salt, so, yes, that would be a good brand of salt to use. I'll let Bee answer your question about canned fish. Do you have a link for information about the wireless card for people to read? Take care, > > > Hi Bee , > > I just one to confirm that the Himalayan Salt , I'm using , is > acceptable for the diet . But canned meats wouldn't leach them as easily, so I wouldn't be concerned about them. Bee
Guest guest
I've heard recently that we are not getting enough Vitamin D -- some are saying up to 4000 units, way higher than the FDA says. I did have my vitamin D checked and it was in an ok range. I figure I'm getting 1000 units with my calcium pill, milk and a little sunshine (live near the 45th parallel). I bought some Vitamin D tablets that have 1000 units and wondered if anyone has any info about it. It sounded good to me until I saw that it helps your immune system. That is usually a red flag for me. Along the same lines, there are many foods that are supposed to be good for your immune system. Do we avoid those also because our immune system is already attacking us? dd
Guest guest
Hey Irish, I'm not sure about the meds and their effects but not sleeping might be remedied a bit by smoking some pot. Seriously. If you can get any try it. It helps to relax your muscles and might make you a bit drowsy. Good luck. C. Sent from C's Verizon Wireless BlackBerry Re: [ ] A Couple of Questions My last blood work showed that my Calcium and Vitamin D levels were extremely low. My body was not absorbing the pills so I was changed to shots every week for the methotrexate and my Calcium and Vitamin D was tripled. My folic acid also was upped to 2 times a day 1 tablet. I was told to start taking Thera D 2000. I was taking already 4000 UI and that was not enough to keep my levels up. I have erosion/corrosion of my toes and my fingers have frozen in place where I cannot bend them very well. My right shoulder gives me problems now and sleeping is almost non the last few weeks. Pain meds do not work anymore unless I self-medicate way more than I am suppose to. Irish
Guest guest
I had my vitamin D level checked, and it was in the low normal range. I started taking vitamin D tablets, just as added insurance. About foods and supplements boosting our immune systems, I figure that probably just part of our immune systems are attacking us, not all of it. In my case, I think it's TNF-alpha, since Enbrel works so well for me. So I'm just boosting the other aspects. This is just something that I worked out, not based on studies or anything. So far, it's working for me. Guest guest
I was also told in ER to take more vitamin D. The doc's wife I guess had lots of arthritis pain, and found she was low on D and took maore and had way less pain. I dont know if true or not, still very new to possible RA for me. shawna May all your ups and downs in life be with a needle and thread. Guest guest
Hi Arti, If you have RA, you need to be under the care of a Rheumatologist and you need to be on a DMARD ( disease-modifying antirheumatic drug) or a Biologic drug, of which there are many. Of the drugs you listed I don't see a DMARD, is your posting of QDMRD a DMARD, I don't know as I googled it and nothing came up, some of the ones you listed are not sold in the USA. There is no natural therapy that is going to fix your RA. There are some things that will help but there is no natural cure. Good Luck, you'll find this site helpful I'm sure. in PA [ ] Re: A Couple of Questions Hi , I am arti, i have joined this forum newly cos I have been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. Guest guest
> > I've heard recently that we are not getting enough Vitamin D -- some are > saying up to 4000 units, way higher than the FDA says. Hi, I'm new to the group and been reading past posts to get information. I was diagnosed with RA this past June and my doctor put me on plaquenil and vitamin D. She said my vit D level was low and that lack of it can cause pain. I was taking my plaquenil and one vit D pill a day religiously, but there was absolutely no change in my symptoms. A few months later they checked my blood and said that my vit D level was now just within normal range (I think normal was above 25 and I was 27). But the doc also said I could take two pills a day, although the bottle said to just take one. So I started taking two a day, and within just a couple of days my arthritis pain is almost completely gone. I'm not waking up at night with awful pain in my hands and unable to move my fingers. I can actually touch the joints in my fingers now without it hurting. So I think that vitamin D is a miracle drug for RA. J.
Guest guest
It has never been published because medical journals are runned by pharmaceutical companies. But a few other countries have performed viral loads on healthy individuals and it has revealed a value. You'll have to read about this in books published by Deusberg, Joan Shenton, Maggorie etc. That's why the FDA didn't approve viral load tests right away, because there was and still is not a valid way to truly determine HIV infection. As for the liver failure that is common with anybody taking medications for a long period of time. Putting a substance of that sort in your body is going present adverse effects ( harmful side effects ) nothing in those pills is natural therefore your liver will stop filtering properly because of the damage it's getting. ARVs however are much stronger than most medications out in the market. From: Foros <juanforos11@...> Subject: a couple of questions cures for AIDS , AIDSsoc Date: Tuesday, July 5, 2011, 12:07 AM  Hi all, some questions, I read MANY times that liver failure is the leading caus of death among people on ARVs. Is there a reference/s to back up this claim? Also, has there been any experiments of drawing blood from negative people and perform a VL test on them? Anything published? Thank you!
