Guest guest
Everyone; While we are on the subject Humirra, I have some questions too. My injection sight is getting to be a sore place. My husband says it's cause I keep picking. So I put a bandaid to keep from picking at it. Is this normal. It don't hurt. Also. I have some old flea bites from last summer that is not healing. I do scratch a lot. Is that the humirra or the diabetes. I am going to see my doctors about this next month. I have an appointment with all of them one each week. My rheumy said if I didn't get these sore's healed up she is taking me off humira. I have really worked on clearing them up now. That scared me really bad. I need my humirra. Humirra makes me human again. I have put bandaids on all the sores. I am using antibiotic ointment. bbut I keep picking them without even realizing it. I am seeing my mental health worker too. I may be compulsive. I hope not. Hope some one can give me some good advice before my next RA visit in February. I wish I could help you but I was fortunate with the humirra, I didnt have any side effects with it. The mesotrexate broke me out so bad I couldnt take it but the humira hasnt broke me out except the injection site. I can fix that if I just leave it alone. gentle hugs Clora ************************************************************ > > Hey all, > I have a question. Guest guest
Clora, high blood sugars do hamper healing. I don't know how high your A1c's run, but that might the reason that the bites are not healing. That is a long time for them to still be there. Diabetes can also cause itching. About your injection sites, you do change the location of each injection, don't you? Guest guest
Sue and group; Sue I do a diff spot each time I have the injection. I have high blood pressure but it has been under control. My care giver rubbed itching lotion on it. I never remember too. My husband is my care giver. I heard diabetes causes sores to take longer to heal. My husband looked up humira injections. It causes all this too. My husband said I may have to go off humira. Like heck I will. I will tie my fingers up and stop itching haaaaaaaaa. gentle hugs Clora ******************************************************** > Clora, high blood sugars do hamper healing. Guest guest
Hi Clora: I hope you are feeling better today. I so hope you can stay on the Humira as I know it helps you so much. I am doing better, and not crying over all this misery at my house. Life is for the living, and I want to start my new life on a happy note. I will be moving in with my son and his family next month. He just bought a beautiful house here with an inground pool, which I will love. I love to swim, and do water exercises, which will help my RA. I want to wish you a very Happy New Year, with good health, and lots of peace. You so deserve it. Always in my prayers. God Bless you Clora. Hugs, Barbara > > > > > > While we are on the subject Humirra, I have some questions too. > My > > > injection sight is getting to be a sore place. My husband says > it's > > > cause I keep picking.
