Guest guest
Anyway, the fruits that I can eat are as follows: pears, blueberries, peaches. I told you it was short! Apples would probably be okay, but I'm allergic to them. I find that melons (cantelope, honeydew, etc...) are triggers for me, as are bananas and citrus fruits. To make up for the lack of fruit in my diet, I've been experimenting with lots of vegetables. Since I and/or the baby I'm nursing are allergic to potatoes, carrots, peas, beans, corn, and celery, I've had to go looking for more unusual veggies. I don't yet know whether they are triggers or not, but I'm rotating weekly through asparagus, broccoli, cauliflower, rutabagas, turnips, yellow squash, sweet potatoes, and okra. If anyone else has some fruit or vegetable suugestions that don't seem to bother them, I'd love to hear about it. In terms of other food, I survive mostly on turkey, chicken, salmon, and tuna, buckwheat bread, amaranth bread, and sweet potato bread (all made only from flour, sea salt, and water). I can't even find anything to put on a piece of toast that doesn't bother my skin! If there is something you really like that doesn't bother you, please tell me. Have you tried brussel sprouts also? Maybe beets? You should probably go see a nutritutionist. My allergy doctor sent me to one. They can offer suggestions on foods that you may be able to eat. I will try to remember what some of them were - it has been about a year since I went there. But, the dietitian had a huge list of just about every kind of fruit and vegetable imaginable. She would go through the list and I would tell her which ones I positively could not eat and she came up with a list of foods to try.
