Guest guest
Debbie, I know of two women who beat their breast cancer with a raw food diet. They did no surgery, drugs or radiation. I don't know if they did any detox methods (herbs, hydrotherapy, etc.) like Dr. Schulze (800-HERBDOC) advocates, but I understand his program, which also emphasizes raw foods, has helped lots of people. If you want me to put you in touch with these two women, let me know. Oh, and I assume you know of Dr. Day? www.drday.com I have read two books by women who beat their breast cancer with raw foods. One was by e Nolfi, a Danish physician, probably out of print now. Mark > I have been on this list for over one year now. Guest guest
In my opinion, after going thru the experiences with my mother who is an ovarian cancer patient, I believe that one cannot totally rule out conventional methods, such as chemo. They do have their place in treatment at this present time. You really do have to marry the two approaches; conventional and alternative. Ofcourse, I am more incline to give the non-toxic alternative the first choice, but if this has not been successful, it is time to bring in the strong stuff. But you MUST do the alternative at the same time. IT MAKES THE CHEMO MORE EFFECTIVE AND MORE TOLERABLE in my opinion. But ofcourse, I would not prolong the use of the chemo drug, only use it to give the alternative method a boost. You are fighting a war, sometimes there are times where you need to call in the heavy artillary. Given that, there are many alternative supplements that can really help you cope with the chemo. Some of the ones that I think helped my mother: All-Clean Tea (this is a tea that you drink a couple of gallons full in matter of 6 hours, 24 hours after your chemo intake to get rid of the biotoxins that the chemo drug will generate. Biotoxins are the real culprits that does a great deal of damage to your body.) Anti-oxidants, such as Vit C, Alpha Lipoic Acid, CoEnzyme CQ10, Vit E etc Chinese herbal medicine to boost your Chi element, since chemo attacks the Chi. A good one is ZO2, it can be ordered at http://members.home.com/eucm/sinobiology/ZO2.html Boost your immune system with things like Colustrum, Transfer Factor, Maitake Mushroom. Make bone marrow soup (buy organically raised beef bones from places like Whole Foods) Hope this helps. - > From: " Debbie Metzger " <metzgerpk@...> > Reply- > Date: Wed, 11 Apr 2001 10:38:53 -0400 > < > > Subject: [ ] Info request > > I have been on this list for over one year now. I have read several books, too. That is why I don't understand why I haven't beat this thing and why it has gotten worse. The funny thing is, I have had several tumors disappear, but others have appeared. The one in the breast has been here since Christmas and is growing rapidly. It's the size of a tennis ball. Mark, thanks for you input. Hugs, Debbie
Guest guest
hello i did the taxol and taxotere and xeloda to shrink tumors and it didn't work for me but caused more swelling and the tumors continued to grow. i don't know anything about the new treatment but it sounds pretty good. sometimes they do a combined treatment so that they can continue using those treatments and get the funding. you know you can refuse any treatment that you don't want. think about how sick you are going to be and look up all the info on the medication side effects and long term results before using it.. theres also a new vacine out thats supposed to work very well but still in clinical trials called therope here in canada being used in a few hospitals. personally i am going to try radiation again because it seems to work about the best from what i have to choose from then i am trying the homeopathic treatments. i am also in advanced stages and have been fighting this for 8 yrs now and have also been using alternatives and vitamins and suppliments with some help i guess but it hasn't taken the tumors away and i found that there are some homeopathy things that can help or so i've heard. the secret appears to be to try everything and leave no stonme unturned. Guest guest
Hi Debbie Metzger, Have you read this posting from the Flaxseed Oil List? Good luck & God Bless, Mike Cinelli ================================================================================ From: jpdugger@... Date: Fri, 06 Apr 2001 13:37:37 -0000 Reply-FlaxSeedOil Subject: [FlaxSeedOil] User for a year Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Status: First, I want to praise and thank God for his love and grace that he has given to me. Second, I want to send a special thank you to Mr. Beckwith for sharing with us the health benefits of flax-oil. I am a new member of this web site and Mr. Beckwith said you might be interested in my story. So here goes....... I have been battling breast cancer since December 1993. After listening to Mr. Beckwith's tape, I immediately went out and bought the 32oz bottle of flax oil with the fat free cottage cheese. I found the pea size lump in my breast in 1989. They kept saying it was just fiber cystic. Not until 1993 did I finally get the diagnosis that it was breast cancer. I had a lumpectomy and went through chemo and radiation. I thought I was doing fine until my back began aching in the summer of 96. I would mention to the oncologist that my ribs and back hurt and he did nothing. By Chistmas of 1996, pain was my first, second and last thought. The doctor requested a MRI and found the cancer was on my skull, ribs, up and down the spine and pelvic. I went through radiation and chemo a second time. The T-11 bone in my spine had collapsed due to the cancer destroying it. The turmor was so big that it was compressing my spinal cord. Needless to say, I now longer see this doctor. I do not know how much pain there is in other cancers but I can tell you that the bone pain I felt was unbelievable. Anyway..... I now receive bone scans annually and last year (Jan 2000) they found another spot. I am not at liberty to say this angels name but this person handed me Mr. Beckwith's tape about flax oil. Everyday I took four to five doses like the tape suggested. The bone pain disappeared in about four days. I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT. They repeated the scan in April (four months later) and the new spot was barely there and the other areas had dimmed considerably. But what amazed me was the absence of pain. My husband and neighbors could not believe what they were seeing. Instead of lying on the couch in pain, I was out doing yard work, walking two miles a days with my friends, going to a health club and doing voluteer work. This year I had my annual scan and oops the skull and rib cage were as bright as a Christmas tree. Cancerous bone and healing bone both show up as bright white. My oncologist asked me how I felt and I said great. He requested a skull x-ray to keep a watch on this area. We are taking a wait and see attitude. Since I feel good he doesn't seem to be so concerned. The weather causes me to feel achy sometimes. After this most recent scan, I called and spoke with Mr. Beckwith and he suggested I cream the cottage cheese and then add the flax oil. I began doing this method instead of eating the cottage cheese and then taking the flax oil. Neither method is my favorite but I add skim milk to the mixture and a bit of chocolate syrup. After reading the negative statements about sugar I guess I will be using something else besides chocolate syrup. There is probably more negative than positive that I can tell you about my battle with cancer, but I turned that over to the LORD. It was way too much for me to deal with. Now I just thank him for this beautiful day. I don't look down the road and wonder. Since I have stopped wondering and worrying about what is going to happen, I found life to be so much more enjoyable. God has each and everyone in his divine plan. In my battle with cancer if I can bring others to Christ, then all I can say is PRAISE GOD. I've always tried to do things my way, but HIS WAY is the best. My battle with cancer has not been as hard since I turned it ALL to Christ. Just remember that if you can set time aside to watch your favorite show or talk to a special friend, then there should be NO REASON why you can't set time aside to talk and walk with our HEAVENLY FATHER every day. My God bless and be with you today.

Geoff here. I'm looking into a new treatment and am frankly a bit over my head. I am hoping that some of our more scientifically gifted members can help me out here. There is an OTC product named PCA-Rx made by an outfit called Maxam. It is supposedly useful as a progressive oral chelator removing heavy metals based on their valence AND effective against various mycoplasma. In my case that could mean not only that it might help me, but could be of some use to my autistic child. Here is a link to the ingredients: http://tinyurl.com/mmyxv. Any comments about how they might or work, should not be useful, or could be harmful would be greatly appreciated. Geoff
Guest guest
Hi, Geoff: I was trying to keep an open mind while reading the marketing hype (and it IS nearly pure BS, btw), but then I found the price list! Honestly, I hope that you don't waste your money on this...but if you do and it works I STILL would not believe it is anything but placebo. I'm not a doctor, and I will run this by several more technical people (microbiologists and immunologists), but I am not expecting any positive comments; I will let you know whatever the case. Guest guest
I am wondering if anyone has ever consulted a physical therapist to design an excercise program for someone with moderately severe RA. I need to get on a routine excersize program to get in shape and loose quite a few pounds. Walking is the only thing I do but not routinely. I would like to do some resistance excercizes but am afraid now with my joints status. Anyone every use a physical therapist for excercize consultation?
