Guest guest
I hope your son is OK, Dalanne. What a worry. I cringe when my children mention something going on with their joints. I do think that certain activities over a period of years can lead to and/or accelerate osteoarthritis and other mechanical joint problems. Thanks so much for your kind words! My 14 year old son is having more than growing pains and we have agreed to take him to be checked for the R factor- the usual bloodwork. I was diagnosed roughly 4 years ago but probably had it at least 10 years prior. I've already been talking to our kids, especially my boy, about taking better care of their health & bodies. I was a rough & tumble tomboy growing up and marrying a farmer? I am 42 years old and have been " ridden hard & put away wet " many many times. Over the past 4 years I have wondered if the dumb stuff I enjoyed being involved in over my teens and twenties contributed to the damage that I " enjoy " now. This information may well help my kids prevent or delay the same! Thanks so very much for these links that you post here!
