Guest guest
Hey all, Hope you are all having a pain free day, well trying to anyways. I had a rheumy follow up appointment yesterday. I had some xrays done at my last visit since it had been a year. He told me that one of bones in my wrist (extension carpi ulnaris to be exact) was not eroding due to the RA, but that it was thinning on both hands. I was told that it was nothing to worry about. He wanted to keep me on the same meds since I am doing OK. My health is soo screwed up buy other things that he won't put me on a stronger DMARD. The bone that is thinning is a small insignificent bone that is where the pinky finger is connected to the wrist. I was wondering if this has happened to anyone. I am 32 and I have had RA for the past 8 years. Is this just the disease progressing!?!? IDK...
Guest guest
, Your rheumatologist is probably talking about osteopenia. If he says not to worry, don't. I'm sure he'll continue to monitor you. http://www.webmd.com/osteoporosis/tc/osteopenia-overview Not an MD On Thu, May 28, 2009 at 9:52 PM, <man_u8@...> wrote: > > > Hey all, > Hope you are all having a pain free day, well trying to anyways.
