Guest guest
thanks sue... this last one i got a bruise... oh well, that is not much to put up with..) just as long as i know i am normal... what ever normal is... rae Re: [ ] Enbrel injections Rae, I am also on Enbrel, and yes, I get the bruises more times than not. I assume it's when we hit a little blood vessel. I also get an injection site reaction sometimes, which itches. I don't know why I get these sometimes and not always. I went at least a year before I got the first one. Guest guest
Hi Clora - tomorrow will be week 5 for me with the Enbrel. So far, no side effects and it seems to be working, though not completely sure as my Fibromyalgia has been giving me a fit. I'm still taking the Sulfasalazine and Methotrexate, although my Rheumy said at the next visit (august), we may be cutting some of that back. Best of luck to you - I pray you get good results with it. Take care. Keep us posted.....Doreen Hi Sue; I am starting Enbrel in about a week. I was on humirra injections. My rheumy said the humirra wasn't working. I been taking it for a long time. I thought the humirra worked since it stopped the pain. My RA said my blood test had a low count of the RA. I forget what it's called, She said mine was a 4 and normal was 18. Sue I haven't had bad severe pain from RA for a long time. I had to quit sulvazaline and plaqunil because I became allergic to it. So basically I was only getting Injections for the RA. I am hoping it is going into recession. My rhuemy gave me some darvacet pain pills to take for pain. I don't need it half the time. Sue I still have pain but not like it was. I also have flare ups from time to time. I would like information about enbrel also. Yeast infections. Ugh I get them so easy. Yes, antibiotics will cause yeast infections, so when I get antibiotic, I get the yeast medication too. Haven't had a yeast infection since the last time I took antibiotics. I am so glad you brought this up. If anyone takes Enbrell please give us info on it. I am interest in anything anyone has to say on the subject of Enbrell God bless, I care, Clora

I am glad enbrel is working for ya. My fibro is giving me a fit too. What I was taking for the fibro broke me out and made me eat like a horse. Thanks, best of luck to you too. Guest guest
Hi Clora, I hope the enbrel works great for you. I started cymbalta, and it helped my fibro pain SO much. I feel like a different person. It has also helped the depression going on in my life. Keep us posted, Tawny > > Doreen, I can't take sulfazalin, methotrexate or plaqunile, they break me out. Guest guest
I've been reading a lot of posts about painful injections. I did mine in the thigh for many years until I discovered that the abdomen is the way to go. I couldn't get my head into giving myself a shot in the belly for the longest time but once I did, I never when back. Sure, it burns a little sometimes but a few seconds of burn is a hell of a lot better than living with RA symptoms. Pinch up the skin (fat) to the side of your belly button and go for it. I must say, I did prefer the syringes that were not premixed because there was no burn with them.
Guest guest
, you can still get the syringes that are not premixed. That's what I still use. Your doctor could change your prescription to those. New isn't always better. Sue On Jan 6, 2010, at 2:29 PM, mbdomby wrote: > I've been reading a lot of posts about painful injections.
