Guest guest
Hi Group, I found something this morning on my foot. It doesn't hurt, but its on top of my foot, right below the big toe. A bunion usually is on the side right? Well this is on the top. I'm seeing my rheumy on the 20th, so I'll hear what he has to say about it then, but I was just curious what you all had to say. Do nodules show up on the feet? Thanks, A frozen Heidi in Mass. " Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle. Guest guest
Hi Heidi I've had these nodules and they are caused by RA. I had two on the same big toe and they grew slowly in size over several months. My rheumatologist injected them with cortosteriod and this made them disappear. Although not painful in themselves, they rubbed on my shoes and this caused me pain. I covered them with thick plasters as an interim measure. I have recently had pain and stiffness in both big toes and an xray showed that the cartilege between my toe joints has gone: I see an orthopaedic surgeon next week and expect to have the toe joints surgically fused shortly. I hope a steroid injection will make your nodule disappear too in NZ
