Guest guest
I'm sorry to hear about this . So far, my liver hasn't had any issues with the MTX, but it's a worry that's always in the back of my mind. Would you be able to try any of the biologics in place of the MTX? Guest guest
Hi Michele - I'm sorry your liver seems to be taking a beating from the MTX. I just wondered if there is anything else that you are taking that could be contributing to this. Do you drink ANY alcohol? Do you take any OTC medications (Advil, Alleve)? Both of those things can also affect the liver. I hope they can get to the bottom of this, get your liver healthy and keep you pain free all at the same time. Keep us posted. We care.....Doreen > > Im mostly a lurker here but I know you guys would understand this, > tried a lot of meds for my RA, nothing worked except for the > prednisone, found new Dr, put me on MTX pills, made me sick, so we > switched to the shots and woah nellie, those work great, I was > able to ween myself off of prednisone that I've been on for yrs so > whats the problem you ask~ the MTX shots are wreaking havoc on my > liver. Guest guest
Milk Thistle is supposed to be a good supplement to take for liver health. You might try that. Hope you can keep taking what works!
