Guest guest
I just want to say thanks to the person who posted about the enbrel copay program last week. I knew that there were programs to help but had always assumed that there were income restrictions and for people without insurance. I went to the site and took about 5 minutes to fill out the form and the info was really not too detailed on the site so I didn't know what to expect. The site said they would mail info and a copay card. We have insurance but a $5000. deductible so the first of the year is always expensive. This morning the pharmacy called to notify me of my auto refill and I asked what my cost would be--Almost $1700. I gave them the #' s off of the copay card and she plugged them in and called back and said I would owe nothing and that she thought it would apply to my overall copay. I feel like shouting. We would have been able to come up with the copay but last year our income was almost half of what it has been in previous years and this year may be even worse than last because of the economy so this is a very welcome relief. My daughter who is also my pharmacist did not know about this program and she said it was something that she was glad to know and would share with some of her other customers that she knew that was struggling to make ends meet here at the first of the year and I am also going to make sure my rheumatologist knows about it also. I would have not known about this help without this site so thanks for sharing. linda
Guest guest
, That is a lot of money to save. We have a $100 pharmacy deductible but my hubby needed meds before we could order his first enbrel of the year so we had to pay the $100 to a local pharmacy for his other meds. We can't order the refill on enbrel til the end of the month. But at least we don't have to pay the $50 for the enbrel copay since we use the Enbrel card. One thing I am happy about is Blue Cross is allowing us to get the Enbrel from a local pharmacy this year instead of the mailorder. We both work full time so it was a hassel having it delivered. Take care, Lynn in Louisiana, hubby with RA and rheumatoid lung > > I just want to say thanks to the person who posted about the enbrel copay program last week. Guest guest
That is wonderful! It will take a great load off your mind. Ours was $60. The regular price runs about $1700 a month here. Guest guest
Great news! Our copay varied but was typically either free or $25...the cost of the Enbrel is about $900 per month for the one you mix yourself. & , 7, poly Sent from my iPhone
