Guest guest
Hello Robyn, That's a big question, I will try to keep it simple and give you some ideas. Working on the nervous system I believe is the biggest key to move your body from stress mode to rest mode, this is the sympathetic nervous system vs. parasympathetic nervous system. Anything that could stress your body should be removed... (No I'm not suggesting divorce here although that has helped some people :-o :-) Your nervous system controls your immune system and everything else in your body. Some lifestyle changes will be universal and help almost everyone... Detoxification done in many different ways such as colonics or enemas (coffee), liver detoxification, massage, non-strenuous exercise moves the lymph. The infrared light sauna has many great effects and should be done daily at home (cost to make less than $100); nervous system benefit as well as detoxification. Plenty of pure water daily and with the diet I recommend a serving of brown rice daily and increasing emulsified cod liver oil supplement and fats in your diet which can cause the digestive system to be more dominant, thus reducing the sympathetic nervous system. Healthy and frequent sex is also very good for bringing the body out of stress mode. Because sex is also usually tied to your emotions, it can be a link to raising and working on some emotional issues as well. Reducing or stopping any medications that can be eliminated. I suggest food allergy testing to determine which foods to avoid for a period of 6-12 months. Getting to bed before 11PM (9 or 10PM is better) to get proper rest. If sugar imbalances, you may need to do a protein before bedtime and certainly no carbs. No stimulants such as caffeine, stimulant herbs, sugars or simple carbs, tobacco, etc. Limit evening activity that would get you excited a few hours before bedtime. Take plenty of good quality calcium and magnesium to calm the body. Not more than 1000mg of Vit C and I usually do not recommend even this much. This may make some want to send hate mail who love Vit C, but it actually will slow the oxidation rate of your cells in time and that is not what you need to balance your chemistry because it is already too slow due to the chronic stress pattern. Obviously you should properly support your adrenal and thyroid glands as they are the first to get stressed from years of overuse such as glandular and or iodine. Much of the immune system is in the digestive tract, so it is important to do the food allergy testing and do things that can calm the chronic inflammation pattern there. Turmeric and aloe can help. Eastern acupuncture (not for symptoms but systemic balance) to balance the body can be good. I use a local infrared heat therapy to the back and spine which does wonders for people in just a few weeks to restore areas of chronic nervous system stress in the body. Music therapy is excellent also. You can also buy a " light sound machine " which uses pulsed sound and light to bring the body out of stress mode and lowers your brain waves to more relaxed mode or sleep depending upon the program. You can Google to find these for sale $100 - $200 and they really do work. Of course I can't skip emotional issues which can drive your body chronically into disease if you harbor any anger, resentment, fear, etc. Hurts need to be healed, not buried. Strong emotions over years from past hurts you have experienced can keep you sick. Healing is a process many times a daily process that starts with your willingness to resolve any issues you may be holding onto. If you say I can let go of all hurts but one, or one person, than that may just be a key for your healing. You first have to be willing to admit your response to past hurts can be still hurting you and then be willing to release this person, event, or even God from being responsible for your pain. There are ways to do this, but I don't want to get too deep into it now. Basically holding onto un-forgiveness will keep your immune system from being all that it should. If you don't know where to start, simply pray that God show you if there is anything or help you take the first or next step toward emotional healing. A quite prayer time for a period of communication with God can be very good for your health not only physically but emotionally and spiritually. If you pray for 30 minutes or longer each day or frequently it can change your life. Many people think prayer is talking to God, but I believe prayer should be a communication with God, which would include talking and also listening. Many times we don't stop talking to actually hear what God wants to say to us. This may be way off topic for this group so I will stop, but it's what I believe. I don't mind private email for off topic subjects. Be blessed, Hope > > Hi Hope, > So, if a person's count was below 30%, how would one go about raising it? Some of us have done several things including diet, cleanses, hormones, and several other things to no avail. Any suggestions? > Thanks!
