I am agreeing with you. With, people who submit willingly to new and/or

experimental procedures, there should be awareness that there may be something

that goes wrong, or it may go right. Being that I was one of the first infant

open-heart surgeries, and my parents were told I may not live beyond 3, I died

on the operating table & came back & I am still around despite any other things

challenging me, although I sometimes have my days where I say I am tired of

being a human guinea pig, I would gladly submit myself for the CCSVI procedure.

But I think I would rather have the kind that is closer to angioplasty than to

have an actual stent.

It would appear that it is the US and Poland who prefer stenting.

As far as I know, Dr Zamoni used angioplasty ballooning preferably and Australia

seems to be following suit with his preference.

I agree with you wholeheartedly regarding ballooning over stents - I will be

getting the procedure done but won't be getting stents.....it seems stupid until

they develop a new method or new type of stent.
