Guest guest
Beverly, I am agreeing with you. With, people who submit willingly to new and/or experimental procedures, there should be awareness that there may be something that goes wrong, or it may go right. Being that I was one of the first infant open-heart surgeries, and my parents were told I may not live beyond 3, I died on the operating table & came back & I am still around despite any other things challenging me, although I sometimes have my days where I say I am tired of being a human guinea pig, I would gladly submit myself for the CCSVI procedure. But I think I would rather have the kind that is closer to angioplasty than to have an actual stent. Guest guest
Hi la_cayena It would appear that it is the US and Poland who prefer stenting. As far as I know, Dr Zamoni used angioplasty ballooning preferably and Australia seems to be following suit with his preference. I agree with you wholeheartedly regarding ballooning over stents - I will be getting the procedure done but won't be getting stents.....it seems stupid until they develop a new method or new type of stent.
