Guest guest
, Glad you have a nice visit with rheumy, that is so important. I don't know what type of meds you have been on, but I'm sure he can find something that is not so costly to your pocketbook. There are programs also to help you with your meds. Good luck, and keep us posted, Tawny --- In , " franticteacher " <franticteacher@...> wrote: > > I went to the new rheumy on the 11th and go back on June 5th to see what the plan is. He was really nice and kind and I hope that he will continue to be this way. I really needed that since this is all out of pocket expenses for me (no insurance.) I can barely wait to see if what he starts me on will be the right combination. I hate being in pain nearly every day. I am sick of pain pills and I am ready to move on. That's all for now. Not much else, just sitting and waiting. I do read nearly everyday, just don't post. Take care all. > > > (Texas) > > P.S. Guest guest
Hi TX - Did your Rheumy give you anything in the meantime to help with the pain and swelling like prednisone? Or are you waiting for your bloodwork to come back? I don't have insurance either, but totalrx.com has been great with medication discounts. If your Rheumy decides to pull out the big gun biologics, there are a lot of patient assistance programs that can get you your medication for little to no cost - depending on your financial circumstances. Wishing you pain free days ahead.....Doreen PS - I spoke with Barbara a week or so ago and she sounded fantastic! This knee has been taking a bit longer to heal compared with her other, but she took a fall just before surgery, so that could be making things worse. I hope she'll be back on here soon. We all miss her! I went to the new rheumy on the 11th and go back on June 5th to see what the plan is. He was really nice and kind and I hope that he will continue to be this way. Guest guest
I think he felt that my primary care doctor had me on enough to get by until my next appointment, which should only have been two weeks away. I have been on the same things for months and although I know they are helping a little bit, it is not enough. I went to that website you listed and it didn't bring me up anything usable. Is it another website? Anyhow, thanks for responding. I appreciate it. > > Hi TX - Did your Rheumy give you anything in the meantime to help with the pain and swelling like prednisone? Guest guest
Thanks Tawny. That is what I am praying for now. So far so good. He even discounted his part of the visit 30%, so that helps. > > > , > > Glad you have a nice visit with rheumy, that is so important.
