Do NOT take extra pills! There are dosing protocols for a reason!!!!! Call your

doctor and tell them precisely what you told us... He can either increase the

dosage or add something to the mixture to help your discomfort.

Re: [ ] Re: Newly diagnosed with a lot of questions!

I am amazed at what those little pills do! Although we are still trying to

stabilize my condition and my doses has increased about every two months I feel

like we are getting very close to it. I don't suffer the bad side effects that

many of you do, but I do have the MTX hangover, as I call it, the next day after

medication. All the benefits of drinking all night without the alcohol! And I

can feel the medication wearing off about four days later with shoulder aches

and minor flares up (which indicates we're not there yet). I am considering what

I think to be a reasonable experiment by taking two additional pills (I have a

few extras) during the middle of the medication cycle thinking it might act as a

booster. I figure this will result in two options: I might feel better and

will yell at me.

I'm being sourrounded by my Group members pointing their finger at me, bad boy!

I guess my booster theory is full of holes and I have to put it on hold. I'll

ask my Heumatologist why and why not next time I see here.

I have been shot down repeatedly but that's why I post such suggestions. It's my

plan to put that on hold, or forget about it, or ask my Rheumatologist.

Sometimes I think, collectively, this Group is Gods gift to the knowledge and

treatment of Rheumatoid Arthritis. We need a " call-action " medical license!

Stan, do not increase your MTX, talk to your Dr. What I did was boosted up my

folic acid two days before taking my MTX, it helps out. If you are not taking

folic acid with your MTX, ask your Dr. about it. MTX depletes the folic acid

from your system, which also can cause you to feel the hang over effect. Talk to

the Dr. Jean

Stan and group;

Stan MTX with out folic acid will make your face hurt worse than any

RA you ever had. Its the worse pain I ever had. I had 2 kids and 4

operations. I hope you don't do that. At least go up to the drug

store and buy some folic acid. Omg my face mouth jaws crown brou

felt like my face was tunneled from the inside out
