Guest guest
Hi leonie: Thanks for your letter and your concern. I live with my son, his fiance, and her son. Yes, they will do anything for me. Michele did my wash, folded it, and put in on my bed. Such a good girl. My knee pain is driving me nuts. I take the pain meds. every 4 hrs., but not much help. The minute I try to get up the pain is unbearable. So I am just resting on the couch, which is fine with me. These are my " down " days. Not much else I can do. It feels good just to be off my feet. I hope you are having a good day, and not having much pain. Hugs, Barbara > > Dear Barbara, > You sound like you're in bad shape - I'm sorry ! It's awful having to live on the couch. Do you have anyone around for company or to look after you ? > > Leonie > >
Guest guest
Hi Leonie: It sure would be! I am still on the couch for the day, or should I say days!!! I have to shower and dress my wound. I will see how it is today. Thanks, and hugs, Barbara > > Hi Barbara, > Well I'm glad someone is looking after you - it would be hell on your own. > > Leonie > >
Guest guest
Hi Susie: Yes, I was very scared. I am glad with all the tests, and the P E T tests, that my lungs are fine and clear. I have a great Pulmotologist, and I was thankful for his skills. It seems like it is always something else we have to deal with. I hope you get checked out soon, so you can have some peace, and stop worrying. It is hard not to worry! God Bless you, and wishing you better days ahead. Hugs, Barbara --- In , " susiestepro " <susiestepro@...> wrote: > > That is really scary, having nodules in your lungs. That is one thing that this disease differs in from the osteo type: It can affect your internal organs. I wonder if my lungs are also being affected because I did have a pleurisy (inflammation around the sac of the lungs) episode with this ordeal. I would wake up with my bladder full and it hurt to breath deeply. I got some relief after urinating, but the pain continued to some degree. This occured off and on in the past two weeks. It scares me that possibly I could get pericarditis (inflammation around the sac that contains the heart). I try not to worry myself to death since I know that can cause flares in this disease, but it is so hard not to. I took a couple medical terminology classes and anatomy/physiology classes in college, and I think that makes me worry more since I know about how serious those kinds of complications can be. It is good to be able to come here and chat with others who have the same worries. My family is really beginning to worry about me now too. I plan to let my neurologist know that I think I may be experiencing pleurisy. I appreciate everything and I sure hope you are feeling well. Guest guest
Hi Barb..we're kind of in the same boat...losing someone we loved. But it will get better...its just take it a day at a time. and allow yourself pity party days cause they help too. You let yourself be down but the next day do something else. The holidays were tough but the toughest was NY Eve day for me. I don't know why....just the conclusion to a crummy year, I guess. Dave's parents went to Casselberry FL (by Orlando) for the holidays to be with his sister and her family. She said it was soooo darn cold there and it got to the 20's at night. (Thats one reason why dave and I would vacation in Feb or March...the weather was better). They said no more trips to florida...the kids can come and see them. Its just too hard for them to travel. But she said the whole time they were down there, she was freezing. I would love to move to florida...maybe one of these days. these winters kind of push me in that direction. I'm looking for a nice over 55 mobile home community.....not too expensive just neat and clean. so, sometimes I get online and check them out. There are just so many to look at. Sorry about your banana trees....boy...that's such a shame. Dave told me to move to florida if he was me. I told him that I have no one I know down there....he said, you'll make friends. easy for him to say. It's still hard if you don't know people. I should be set and not get sick this year..with the flu anyway since I got both flu and swine flu shots....knock on wood. You take care....you'll have some good and some bad days...me too.
