Guest guest
Hi dd, I have a Arthritis help book and there is section in there about putting socks on. It is called a " sock aid " that is used. You can make your own sock aid by cutting x-ray film or construction board into the shape of an upside-down ten gallon hat and attaching a piece of cord through a hole punched in each side of the hat's brim. A sock aid will allow you to put on your socks if you cannot reach your feet. First, you need to slide your sock onto the sock aid shell. Then drop the sock aid to the floor. Slide your foot into the shell and pull the sock on gently with the long handles. I hope you could understand all that. Good luck!! He can't stand to wear shoes with no socks and it really hurts his back to put his socks on. He is willing to wear the little tennis socks, so that helps. Any ideas for a gadget that will help him get them on? dd **************Remember Mom this Mother's Day! Find a florist near you now.
