Well, you know what I say about my Enbrel: out of my cold, dead hands.

LOL. Actually, I've had yeast infections before Enbrel. Diabetics are

prone to get them, and I had one for about five years when I was in my

thirties. (I really am not exaggerating.) I would use the medication,

and it would go away; when I stopped the medication, it would come

back. Because of that and other things, I have always wondered if my

diabetes didn't start long before I was diagnosed. That, and the fact

that I already had neuropathy when I was diagnosed.

But my diabetes is very well controlled now, so it should not be a

factor.

but use a nonlatex glove if you're ouchy.  I learned I had a latex allergy the

hard way!  (ahem!)

Jane,

I like that idea, too.

I don't even want to think about that.

I think I got all the help from Enbrel that I could get. The nurse of

course asked me questions so that she could include it in their

database of possible side effects. At least I think that was what she

was doing.

She also could not tell me if I should delay my next Enbrel injection,

but I will, just as a precaution. I've been spreading out my

injections anyway, and have been doing fine with that.

The first time I had a yeast infection, back when I was young, the

doctor prescribed something for a bacterial infection. That just

killed off all of the good bacteria and let the yeast really thrive.

So I know how to recognize a yeast infection when I get it.

Thanks for your help.

Sue,

I meant call your physician, not Enbrel. LOL.

I'm happy to hear that you are somewhat better. I hope you'll be over this

soon.
