, do you usually win when you gamble? I've never been to Las

Vegas, but I have gambled twice in my lifetime. The first time was in

Cherokee, NC, and I lost $10. The second time was on a ship off the

coast of Cape Canaveral, Florida. I again lost $10, but I got a free

meal in the bargain. I play the nickel machines and the blackjack

machines. A big spender I am not!

Sue,

If I usually won, I would move to Las Vegas.

,

I have a brother who actually makes his living by gambling. I don't

condone it, but then he didn't ask my opinion. He must be pretty good

at it, but I worry about his old age security.

I've run into a few people who claimed that, my father for one. When we found

out what the " living " actually was not very many were impressed.

Sweet, Sue! I hope your brother is writing a book about his escapades.

At one point, I learned how to count cards (blackjack), but playing and

counting takes a lot of gambling time and patience (so you don't get

caught)..

He manages to pay his bills adequately, so I really think he must be

good at it. Although he has a college degree in business

administration, he's never put it to good use. Right now, he's in a

casino in West Virginia, as far as I know. Just as you had no control

over your father's gambling, I have no control over my brother's. And

I do worry about what he'll do in his old age. I guess he'll have to

keep gambling, because he won't be drawing much Social Security.

He's too busy gambling to write a book, LOL. I think that he is good

at keeping up with what cards have been played and reading people's

expressions. Since he has no other job, he has lots of time and

patience.

But one time he and one of my other brothers and my SIL were playing a

card game that I don't even remember the name of. I'm not a lucky

person at all, so I was not doing very well. But then he said this

next hand was going to be for the Championship of the World. And guess

who won! Unpredictably, I did. So I'm the Champion of the World in

some card game that I had never heard of before and can't remember the

name of.

It's good to be Champion of the World, even if you don't know the name of

the game, Sue. LOL.
