Guest guest
Hi Heidi..... Thanks for the suggestion of letting the alcohol dry..... but I definitely let it completely dry. I do another shot every evening and always let the alcohol dry.... it's not just the typical 'sting' that one gets if you don't let it dry - it's a very bad burning. My rheumy told me that it's because it's a high Ph level and they can't manufacture it with a lower one....... Amazing how it burns so much more to one person and less for another..... My Mother was on it and she said it burned so bad too...... But like suggested (and thank-you!!), I will try and ice it first...... My Mother always did that (and continues to with her weekly Humira shots)..... she says it helps, so I will give it a try this coming Monday.... So far after my 2 Enbrel shots, I am feeling a lot more sharp shooting pains, numbness and tingling in my feet and toes..... Wearing shoes is actually bothering me.... I hope it gets a little better..... Thanks for the support all..... Jody Just started Enbrel..... Posted by: " J. Poljanski " jpoljanski@... Tue Dec 23, 2008 6:44 pm (PST) Hi there.... Just wondered what any of you do to deal with the intense burning when injecting the Enbrel with the 'sure-click' pen..... I mean, it's over in about 15 seconds, but does it burn!!!! Guest guest
Hi ..... I leave my Enbrel out for 30 minutes before injecting.... still burns really bad. I'm going to try 'icing' my leg before I inject this Monday, as one of our members here suggested. My Mom 'ices' before hers and she says it helps..... Thanks !!!
