Guest guest
A long time ago, I was reeled in by Mannatech. It was expensive and it didn't work Then I did research on he founder (I don't have the link anymore) and I found out he was previously convicted of fraud. I began to notice that anyone claiming to be helped was actually trying to sell the product. I wouldn't go near that company. However, I do believe in the science behind glyconutrients. Here are the 8 essential sugars: 1. Glucose 2. Mannose 3. Galactose 4. Fucose (not to be confused with fructose) 5. N-AcetylGalactosamine 6. N-AcetylGlucosamine 7. N-AcetylNeuraminic Acid 8. Xylose The four that aids cellular communication are Mannose, Galactose, Fucose, and N-Acetalglucosamine. Mannose is perhaps the most important when it comes to intercellular communication. Mannose is involved in more cell interactions than any of the other sugars and a deficiency in mannose has been linked to many health problems. The lack of Fucose in the junctions between the nerves would result in disruption of synaptic transmissions. Fucose plays an important role in eliminating and reversing inflammation. It has been discovered that the cause of rheumatoid arthritis is due to low levels of Fucose and Galactose Fenugreek contains both mannos and galactose. There is no known toxicity. Fenugreek helps protect against breast cancer. Kelp, wakame seaweed, and brewers yeast contains Fucos. According to studies, intake of large quantities of Fucose in the body does not cause side effects. N-Acetalglucosamine is available by supplement. There are many studies investigating this supplement and MS. I haven't read anywhere that sugars have to be ingested all at once in order to work. What I have read is that most complete glyconutrient products don't contain enough glyconutrients to be effective. I have found taking the above three products are helpful and far less expensive than Mannatech. I've stopped taking most supplements while detoxing heavy metal and dealing with suspected Lyme, fungus and leaky gut through colloidal silver (thanks Dudley) I began to realize that throwing supplement at a dysfunctional body wasn't helping – sort of like pouring water in a hole dug in sand. Would like to know what others think. Thanks….Lydia
Guest guest
Hi Janet, I'm a new groupie, it's the first I've heard of the Best Bet Diet. I am looking for a dietary approach for Lyme/MS. I believe diet is fundamental to disease. Thanks Shep
Guest guest
Where can I find this information? I have yet to meet someone 'cured' by Mannatech alone. They genaerally have done Chemo, etc and see big results. I've googled Mannatech and have only found just a few things about Doctors pushing it on patients to line their pockets. Guest guest
I have been taking the Mannatech products for many years. My Mother had MS and helped her tremendously. Yes, our bodies do need all the glyconutrients and it does very from a healthy person to a person with health challenges....I would suggest you speak to a person who has had great improvements with their health after adding the Mannatech Products to get another point of view. I wil be glad to talk with anyone if they have other questions. Have a Great Day! Arleen Nathey1( GOD BLESS YOU! Guest guest
No, Mannatech is in co-membership with these companies in the WHO. Here's an interesting report about the activities of Mannatech, though there are many others. Do a search for Mannatech membership World Health Organization. http://www.thepowerhour.com/news/codex_whatsnew.htm > > > > > > As the subject of Mannatech has come up again, I'll add that when I > > was > > > googling it, I too found a fraudulent background, plus most of the > > searches when > > > you dig down had some connection with the company or people working > > for > > > them. > > >

Guest guest
Hi Lydia, Sorry to disagree on the supplement issue. Just taking fish oil and magniesium aspartate for example, can put a stop to, or drastically reduce irregular heart rhythem (Afib), when none of the drugs work. And also (in my opinion and experiance to date, eliminatethe likelyhood of heart attack or stroke). I think that's a " biggie " . We all know about vitamin C. Not to mention Iodine, and on and on. I know the argument about a great diet, but for those who are'nt doing it, or in an acute situation, supplements and herbs can save your hide. Having said that, the answer is still " get rid of the cause of the problem " . Pathogins. Personally, I like LDN and Mild Silver Protien.....RP
Guest guest
Someone bought me a jar as a nice gesture a while back. I tried it for a few weeks without noticing any difference. But I know that I wasn't on it very long. I have heard some people say it takes 4 months to notice a difference with it. Because of the price, I did not continue. I have heard personally from several people with MS (who were not selling it) say that it helped them. I really don't know if it helps or not, but I decided there was not enough evidence or testimonials to justify spending $100 or more a month on it.
