I freak out just thinking about giving myself a shot...but when I think of the areas of the body that you give it to yourself at ...well that makes me even more freaked out...I dont get shots in those areas and I just dont know if I can do it! Guest guest
Carla, I felt the same way about giving myself injections. But I soon became an old pro at it and now don't mind at all. I've been on Enbrel for over five years, and it works wonderfully well for me. I still use the twice-weekly 25mg that doesn't have preservatives and doesn't sting. It works so well that now I'm doing fine on one injection a week instead of two. I inject into my stomach, where I have lots of territory, and it doesn't hurt. I promise you this. I got the nurse at my doctor's office to help me the first time. Good luck! Guest guest
Carla, if you do Enbrel, here's what I'd recommend: have someone else inject u the first few times, ice the site first, try your tummy as a first site, and have a drink of wine - if u do that- first. It's not that bad, I promise! Kate f Sent from my iPhone On Nov 20, 2009, at 10:39 AM, <Rheumatoid.Arthritis.Support@...> wrote: Carla, Enbrel is self-injected, Remicade is given to you by infusion.
