Guest guest
Hello all, The UBC Faculty of Medicine in Vancouver is looking for individuals, and family members of individuals, with disabilities and chronic conditions who are willing to be interviewed in their home or community by first-year medical students. By providing students with experiences of this type early in their careers, we hope they will have greater insight into the effects of health conditions on the lives of individuals and families when they see them as patients. Previous interviewees have found it interesting and enjoyable and have seen it as a positive way to contribute to the training of future medical professionals. The interviews will take place in the Vancouver/Lower Mainland (British Columbia) area during January, and February 2011. Each interview will cover such topics as an individual's experience of their condition and their experiences with healthcare professionals. For further information, or to sign up to participate, please contact the Program Assistant for the " Doctor, Patient and Society 410 " course, at 604-827-5958 or dpas.410@.... Thanks very much, Iona
