Guest guest
MY MOTHER FOR THE PAST YEAR AND A HALF HAS HAD PROBLEMS DIGESTING HER FOOD. SHE HAS STOMACH CRAMPS, BLOATING, AND ACID REFLEX ALMOST EVERY DAY. SHE SAYS TWICE A DAY (MORNING AND NIGHT ON EMPTY STOMACH)SHE MIXES 3 OUNCE OF HOT WATER (3 MINUTES MICROWAVED) WITH HALF A CUBE OF CHICKEN BROTH AND ONE OUNCE OF EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL AND DRINKS IT QUICK. I DONT KNOW IF IT THIS WORKS BUT SHE SAYS IT HELPS BUT ITS NOT A CURE. I TRIED IT AND IT TASTES HORRIBLE AND I DONT KNOW IF IT WORKS OR NOT. I DON'T KNOW IF ANYBODY HEARD OF THIS RECIPE OR KNOWS OF A NATURAL HERB OR A MEDICATION THAT HAS HELPED THEM WITH THERE DIGESTION PROBLEMS. I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR IT. I DONT LIKE WATHCHING MY MOM SUFFER FROM THIS AND I THOUGHT THIS WOULD BE A GOOD PLACE TO GET FEEDBACK. SINCERLY, DAN
Guest guest
A story about my own acid reflux, something to think about... Many years ago I had been put on the antidepressant by my doctor who gave me the scipt and told me he was giving up his practice, find a new doctor. It is called Zoloft and was touted as " this great new drug for depression " by the new doc. Fast forward several months, I was having terrible reflux and going through tests like Upper GI tract exray, Lower GI, etc. About the same time Oprah had a show about the dangers of mixing prescriptions. I got to thinking, " I wonder if this stomach problem has anything to do with my prescription? " . (Not mixing presc. but just started thinking) so I called the pharmacy and asked, he said " definately " . I asked my husband, " when did I start having these stomach problems " ? and he said right after I got that lady doctor. I made an appointment and told her I want to go off this medication and why. She said " it is unlikely that this is the problem " . Stomach problems were the last thing on the list in the PDR (Physicians Desk Reference. Something like 1 in 10,000 people). I told her I wanted off of it anyway. Did my weaning as directed and then never again had another problem with my stomach (and never again saw that lady doctor). I'm not suggesting anything to do with Zoloft, I am suggesting about mixing meds or what meds you may be taking can affect different people in different ways. Have her think about when it all started and what may have been added just before that. Vitamin, food, medication?

Guest guest
Hi Dan, My acid reflux dissapeared when I started taking things to control yeast/candida. An overgrowth of Candida can cause all kinds of digestive problems, including acid reflux, bloating, cramps, etc. http://www.candidayeastkillers.com/greatest-threat.htm I hope she can start feeling better soon.
