Guest guest
I have been on Orencia since starting it July 22 of this year. Three months ago I had about 2 1/2 weeks of relief from my RA. Two months ago all I got was a a day or so less than 2 weeks. After my last treatment all I got was one week of relief. I will be seeing my Rheumy tomorrow and am kinda curious what he's going to say about it. The last month I've had horrid headaches that will not ease even after taking my Tramadol and Aleve. The only time I didn't have the headache was when I took my last Oxycontins with me to make an all day train trip to Chicago. Each month before my treatments they ask me about headaches and tingling in the arms or legs. I'm having a lot of tingling in my hands/arms now to the point that I'm dropping things as I can't tell if I have a good grip or not. Back to my adult sippy-cups for now. My finger joints are pink but they are not swelled up but my hands/ wrists/ elbows/ shoulders/ hips/ knees/ ankles/ toes all feel so hot to me...did I leave anything out? Geez, I'm so tired now too. This is what I felt like before I ever saw my Rheumy last year! I realize that Orencia is a relatively new drug but has anyone been on it and had it crap out on them? Will sudden stress cause ones medications to stop working? My husband had a heart ablation that failed last week and he may have to have another one quickly. His heart is now beating up to 200x per minute for up to 30 minutes at a time. Yes he has spoken to his Dr about this and he is going to his Dr. tomorrow too. This situation has caused my stress level to rise so high that I'm almost a conehead now! Knowing that I " m going to talk to my doc tomorrow (Wednesday) helps somewhat but my husband isn't real sensitive to me right now. I DO understand why- one cannot live without a heart, he's only 44 and he's very scared. Right now, to him my pain seems insignificant. Understanding him doesn't help and I just wanted to reach out and see if anyone else is or has dealt with this?
