Dr. Maguire did my switch. He's definitely one of the best. He is one of

the founders of the ASBS and hasn't missed a meeting in all their years of

existence. Has been doing bariatric surgery for 20 years and the DS for 10

years. He's BRILLIANT! Very caring -- very concerned about nutrition, pain

management, follow-up. He is always present at the monthly support group

meetings. The one time I had to get ahold of him on a weekend (bladder

infection), he phoned me less than 5 minutes after I left a message with his

answering service. I am EXTREMELY happy with him and feel fortunate to have

him as my doc! =) Let me know if you have specific questions -- I'd be more

than happy to answer them or steer you in the right direction.

Hi Deb--

Dr Maguire was not my doctor, but I have heard really terrific things about

him! He is also a good choice as a self-pay patient because he has an

arrangement with the hospital that fees are capped, regardless of what, if

any, complications you have, so you are sure what the final bill wil be

before you go in. I was also self-pay and my bill was much greater than

yours will be with Dr Maguire--his is $16,000 I think. Ronda, Kristi and

Mich are all patients of his, so put their names in the subject line, too

and they may be able to help you out. Good luck!
