Guest guest
I had the same troubles with Enbrel and Humira. They made me feel better but the side effects of the infections, especially upper respiratory were not worth it. Trying to work with either is very hard. I finally see my doc tomorrow, still have sinus and upper respiratory infection after antibiotics. I have been sick for a month and this is getting old. I just don't have time for any of it. You just can't seem to win dang it! I have stopped the enbrel almost 3 weeks ago. Thanks for listening to me vent. ------------------------------------
Guest guest
Hi , if it helps at all, I was never sick on Enbrel from 06-now. This year we have all been sick. It's been or bug after another. My toddler even has c diff So although I wouldn't want you to rule out Enbrel as a contributor to your bugs, it could be what's being passed around. I bought a netti pot last week and it seemed to reduce a sinus infection I've had without antibiotics. Guest guest
i seem to get a lot of URI's on Enbrel myself; a lot more than I ever did on Remicade. My family doc gave me an rx nasal steroid spray and that seems to be helping somewhat, and I've been sleeping with a humidifier too. jane in unusually cold dallas. > > I am starting to wonder if the Enbrel (at least for me)is worth taking if I am going to be sick all the time. Guest guest
I forgot to add that with all the cooties we've had, I'm dozing Enbrel every 10-11 days so that I can fight infections while keeping TNF low enough to not flare. Feel better, everyone, this has been a tough winter. Guest guest
Thank you all for responding. Sorry to hear a lot of people are having a time with it as well. My kids have been sick as well but of course everyone but us get over it in a reasonable amount of time. I guess I will continue the Enbrel after I recover and see what happens. I am considering spacing it out more though as well and see how that works. I can't even remember the last time I got sick with this type of stuff. I rarely get sick even with all these kids.
